Smell Shapes

Within my artistic research project The Embodiment of the Volatile, I explored how abstract forms could evoke sensory qualities typically associated with smell. Through these drawings, I externalized my own imaginative responses to odors and transformed them into shape, texture, and color; a process in which drawings became smells, much like clouds become animals through imagination.
These visual stimuli were later integrated into the participatory (Digital) Glass Tastings, where they served as visual stimuli for olfactory imagination and verbal association.
